Greg Olsen

So my stake hosted a fun fireside on Sunday, the artist Greg Olsen came and talked about his experiences in painting portraits of the Savior. He told some fun little antecdotes as well as some very interesting background to a lot of his pictures. The mind of an artist and the creative process they go through, whether it's painting, drawing, music or something else, is always fascinating to me. Maybe it's because I always wish I had more creative talents, or maybe it's just interesting to delve into the human mind and see how it works, but in any case, I enjoyed getting some backround on the process and some additional insight into the symbolism of some of his works. Hooray for good firesides.
