You've got talent

Tonight for FHE we had a multi-ward talent show and it was pretty much what you would expect from a group of young single mormons.  There was a lot of piano, singing and guitars and a few more creative acts like a very cool mariachi trumpet number, and a female beat boxer, then of course you had the random song/dance mashups/lip syncs.  Part of me feels guilty for faulting some of these acts for things that I would never do, but it did strike me as interesting that guys can seem to get away with pulling out some old dance moves and singing way off key if they just throw in some quirky dramatic faces to make it funny, but when a girl isn't up to snuff, we all just kind of feel embarrassed for her.  Sad, but true.
