You know you're getting old when. . .

A teenager mistakes you for a parent of one of their classmates.

Yup, true story, just happened yesterday, which leads me to one of two conclusions.  Either she thinks I look a lot older than my 29 years, in which case, sad news for me as I continue to age.  Or the alternative, that she just didn't do the math to figure that if I look about 30, to have a high schooler, I would have had to have him or her when I was about 15.

Either way. . . sad day.

Sometimes I think it is just as bad to have the opposite, someone figures you must have been a young teenage mom because you don't look anywhere old enough to have a teenager. I get that a lot.
