Ballet Arizona
Well I feel more culturally diverse tonight. Ballet Arizona is a professional ballet company here in the Phoenix valley that has a really great program called Ballet under the stars where they do free outdoor shows at parks throughout the valley. The idea according to the spokespeople is to introduce the average person to ballet in affordable and palatable performances. So they performed three different numbers from famous ballets. The whole show was a little over an hour and was quite unique. I've never really seen much ballet before besides snippets here and there, or scenes from the movies, so it was definitely a fun new thing, albeit a girl thing. One male friend ended up coming with us and he was a good sport, but did say at the end of the night that the next time we decide to go see ballet he'd pass. It was definitely a fun and different Friday night activity though.

They really have a variety of different free cultural events, don't they? We need to find things like that to broaden our horizons.
